Overall Evaluation

Overall the whole band identity work out very well there isn't allot i would change it started out to be hard but as well was going along the work load seem less then what was asking for. I am very happy with what i came out with and all the final product but there are little things that i would change due to models and being more organized.

Video Evaluation

For this video we had to create a stop motion and the first thing i thought off was a lego movie and after looking at many different stop motion videos as a group we decided to do a lego one because i looked fun as-well as challenging.
To start off with we had to gather all the lego piece and start to make a test video to see what we need to do when we do the real thing as we did this we decided on a song which was Linkin Park- One Step Closer.
The final video was shot in the studio and it was very challenging everyone contributed to move the lego people and it became harder wen it was put into movie editing but the final video work out very well. if i was to do this again i would change anything it all worked out and the video works really well with the song.

CD Cover Evaluation

To start off with i had to decide on a band name for the poster and the CD i came up with the Struggle Within i used this because its one of my friends old band that are no longer together i also had to come up with a album name and i decides on as daylight fade because i heard it in a song at the time and it works well with the Struggle Within.
After coming up with the name i found a CD cover template and started to design the cover and for this we was asked to use our own images. So i went out and photographed what could go on a album as i did not want to have people on the front as thats very typical. in the end i used photographs of graffiti and edited in photoshop i also used text from www.dafont.com and i downloaded certain brushes for photoshop. After creating and designing the CD cover i made to poster which is a similar design to the CD cover i did this because it shows branding for the band.
if i was to do this all again i would find a real band and work for them and create things that they want and photograph the band.

Final Lego Movie

This is our final music video for one step closer:

Stages Of Editing

These are screen grabs of different stages of editing it shows adding images and putting on the music. The whole editing video process took about two hours to get the video in time with the music and get the pictures in the video in the right place and getting the right sounds and music.

Update

Today I is editing the music video the idea behind this is to complete the editing process. We used a cannon EDS1000 with standard lens of 18- 55mm and a 55mm macro lens. It starts off from real life and carrys on to the leg animation. Each image we adjusted to gain the rquired length. the location we used was the studio  as there was more lighting to get light on to the main subject. The main roles were: Me-director, Ash-designer and i moved each subject as every image was taken. The original idea was discussed in a group.

StoryBoard

Here is our story board we have produced to plan our final ideas. for the first sequence there will be a clip of the creator gradually getting closer until it ends up looking through the cameras lens at the subjects of which we are using for this music video.
For the second sequence it will start off with a crowd in front of a stage. Then in the next scene the lead singer will come on to the stage and start singing. we will obtain this objective by taking about two photographs for each posture until the whole scene looks like the subject is actually moving.
From image (1) until the last scene there will be a loop of up to about 20 times to gain the crowd cheering and dancing whilst the singer and the band plays on.
For this particular music video we will be using the music from Linkin Parks' "One Step Closer"

Lego stop motion

Here are some examples of lego movies that have been created for music videos:

Although these videos are not created by professional animators and been done to fun song you can see hard they are to create.

Stop motion

We have been give the task to create a stop motion movie for example:

This is a very complex stop motion and as a group we decided to make a lego stop motion video to a song by linkin park called one step closer but to do this we had to do a couple of test videos to find out how to set up the camera and the lego men this was the first test.

This is a section of the song we are going to use as this was a test the images didn't work out well as some are blurry and some are not with the auto focus the change in the zoom. To create this video after the images was taken we put them in to imovie i got the images at in order and got the sound track over the top.
After this test we created another one to work out how we can move the lego men and what it would look like if we made them walk.
